Unity Soup Kitchen
Everyone is welcome, without regard to race, sex, age, religious preference, handicap or income to the weekly community meal. More than 200 community members enjoy free delicious and nutritious meals. Meals are prepared by Unity's Soup kitchen partners of St Mark's Cudahy, St Pauls Catholic Church, Unity Lutheran Church, St Stephen the Martyr in Greendale, Harvest Community Church and the Sai Center. Supported by Hunger Task Force'and Just One More Ministries. Dinner is served every Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30pm. Doors open at 5pm. Unity Food Pantry
Temporary assistance of food for neighbors camping in local wooded areas and under bridges. Unity Food Pantry operates under the notion of no id, no zip code, no problem. Open Wednesdays 5pm-6pm. Unity Clothing Closet

Open Door Free Clinic Unity houses the Open Door Free Clinic which provides health care in a caring environment to the uninsured and underinsured population (ages 19-64) in the southeast area of Milwaukee County. Names are drawn from a lottery at 4:30 for a limited number of patients to be seen at 6pm. http://www.opendoorfreeclinic.org/index.html Divine Intervention Cold Weather Ministry to the Homeless Unity works collaboratively with Tippecanoe Church to provide an all night prayer vigil as cold weather intervention to the homeless in Bay View. Alcoholic's AnonymousAA is a group of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other so that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. Meetings are held every Tuesday at 7:00pm. |
