Unity Food Pantry
Temporary assistance of food for neighbors camping in local wooded areas and under bridges. Unity Food Pantry operates under the notion of no ID, no zip code, no problem.

CommUNITY Meals
Please join us in serving our neighbors. Thank you to all who have taken part in our CommUNITY Meals, both in serving and in hospitality. Our CommUNITY Meals Leadership Team is hosting meals every third Wednesday of the month, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. The next meal are: May 21 and June 18. Come on in, doors open at 5pm.

ToGo Meals are available through the Food Pantry the other Wednesdays of the month.

Currently Need for Campers: Outdoor items -> Blankets/sleeping bags, coats, pants, shirts, socks, shoes, new undergarments, sanitary products, ect.

Unity's Active Adult Center (Resumed)

Our Active Adult Center isn’t just for seniors...we welcome people of all ages. It is a time of fellowship, games, celebrations, and fun! It meets on a weekly basis (excluding holidays and severe weather) in Unity’s Fellowship Hall on Tuesdays from 9:30am – 1 pm. Lunch and coffee will be provided. In the event a lunch won't be provided, we will let you know to bring a bag lunch. Registration for the year (September – May) is $10.00; which is used for bingo prizes, coffee, milk and creamer, paper plates, holiday events, and occasional treats. (It is not collected from shelter guests, homeless guests, or others who cannot afford the fee.) New members are always welcome! All Unity members and friends are invited to come and check out our Active Adult Center; AAC could not exist without YOU! Thank you!

Unity Becomes a Warming Shelter
Unity is one of four warming centers in Milwaukee which will provide nightly refuge and resources. Unity entered a partnership agreement for our building to serve as a warming shelter this winter with Milwaukee Coalition on Housing & Homelessness. This program began on Monday, November 25 and will run through Sunday, March 30, 2025. They will use our building from 7:00 pm – 7:00 am 7-days a week and will give Unity financial compensation. The county will provide trained staff. Check out the link on Unity’s Facebook page from Channel 12 news from November 19th!

Open Door Free Clinic
Unity houses the Open Door Free Clinic which provides health care in a caring environment to the uninsured and under-insured population (ages 19-64) in the southeast area of Milwaukee County. Names are drawn from a lottery at 4:30 for a limited number of patients to be seen at 6 pm. Open every two weeks on Wednesday. Divine Intervention Cold Weather Ministry to the Homeless
Unity works collaboratively with Tippecanoe Church to provide an all-night prayer vigil as cold weather intervention to the homeless in Bay View. This program runs from Dec. 1st - March 31st each year.
