CommUNITY Learning Series
Unity has started this series for community growth and understanding for one another. This new series will be taking place roughly 2x a year.
You're invited to learn and grow with us on Sunday, April 12th. Becky Aten's presentation will begin at 3pm, followed by a meet-and-greet time afterwards with refreshments.
Our third event in Unity's CommUNITY Learning Series features Becky Aten, who will share their passion and insights for co-creating community environments that are welcoming, accessible, and affirming for the neurodivergent community. Increasingly we are recognizing that many people's brains function, learn, and process information differently. Neurodiversity includes people living with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, Tourette's, and other types of neurodivergence. They often experience certain challenges and struggles, as well as unique strengths and gifts, which contribute a richness in building community together.
